I worked at a bar for the last 2 years. My birthday was in two weeks and I was still in love with Tager.. I missed him..And he'd been gone for 5 years. For these 5 years I'd never gone on a date or flirted with any guys. When I needed a shoulder to cry on John was there for me...I walked into Club Hell and clocked in. I put my apron on and got behind the bar and started making drinks for regulars.

I sighed. "I lean on you way too much. I'm okay for now so go milly around." I said to him as I made a margirita.

I watched him go. I focused on my work and talked with regulars.

I looked up at him. "I just started working 5 minutes ago so I can't right now." I said. I looked into his eyes. "Have you heard any rumors lately about people seeing tager?"

I sat in the back cornor booth. I watched her with a smile on my face. I'd been back in town for 2 weeks and each night I would come here to make sure she was okaii. I looks like my bestfriend John is taking good care of her, and I don't want to step on any toes. Wait a minute was that a kiss? Ohh boy the frustration began to rise in my body. But how could I expect her to wait for me after 5 years even though I've waited for her? That would be inconsiderate and horride of me. I watched him leave. I waited 5 minutes then slipped outt the front door as well without her seeing. I reached for my cell phone and called her father Are youu happy old man? Not only is your daughter miserable she is working in a bar .. Ohh shut up I'm not with her anymore thanks to youu .. No I said shut up! Youu know damn well that Elizabeth would never have had to work a day in her life if youu had just let me be there for her. No I'm leaving town again as youu wish, however I will never forgive youu for this .. No she knows nothing. I hung up the phone and felt a tear escape my eye as I held the ring in my hand.

They was three of us working behind the counter. I told Meg I was going out for a few minutes. I needed air and a smoke. My mind must have been playing tricks on me because I saw a guy who looked like Tager. I took the pack of cigerettes from my pocket and took one out. I lit it and took a drag.

I wiped the tear from my cheek, she could never see me again, not as long as her father had the wrong people in the right places for him. I cant hurt her, she is my life even after 5 years. Maybe I'll join the military or something to leave this city for a while, I'll come back in a few months. I looked over and saw John, I looked behind me Elizabeth was heading my way. I looked back at John and said Shh with my finger pressed to my lips and ran across the street to behind a shed.

I dropped the cig.....It was him. I started to run. "Tager!" I called after him.

I ran past the shed and into a dark alley where she wouldn't be able to see me. I texted the last number I had for John. I will meet up with youu, but youu have to get Elizabeth away. I'm sure youu heard me talking on the phone to her father. I hit send and hid behind the dumpster making sure she couldn't see me or hear me.

I kept running after him. "Tager come back! I love you! and I dont care youve been gone for 5 years." I called after him.

Tears began to stream down my cheeks, this was harder than leaving 5 years ago. I silently cried in the dark alley waiting for John to help not only me, but her and get her to leave. I might be able to figure something outt so we can see each other again, but not like this, not now. JOHN comeon man, I know this is your number still, know all those "prank calls" yeaah that's been me, now I'll explain everything later, but please trust me and make Elizabeth go back to work. I hit send.

[Kressie, I walked outside after youu and didn't see youu at first, I said this on the phone "Are youu happy old man? Not only is your daughter miserable she is working in a bar .. I walked with Elizabeth for awhile and then I took her back to the bar and let her get back to work. "I will be back in a couple of minutes" I said to her as I walked back out the door. I pulled out my cell phone once I was out of sight and texted Tager "Ok man she is back at work, where would you like to meet?" I asked him.

I read the text and texted him back Meet me at the pier by the boat. He would know which one, it was my boat, I came back every few months to pay my bills and maintin my boat. I hit send and ran to my boat, climbed into it and turned outt all the lights. I was just glad Elizabeth had no idea that I had a boat, it was going to be for our honeymoon. Uggh how I hate her father.

John....I almost had him!! Why did you take me away!?, I texted to him. I sighed. I was mad at John and sad because the one loved had run away from me....I focused on making drinks.

I went and met him at his boat. I gave him a big hug and said, "Where have you been man?"

I opened my phone and seen that it was a text from Elizabeth, "Sorry it was what had to be done, I am going to work out something and I will let you know about it when it can be done." I texted her back and closed my phone and shut it off.

Hiding kinda I said hugging him back, its great to see youu again. I come back often to pay bills and check on Elizabeth and youu and I saw youu guys are right cozy together. I was trying to hold back the hurt, b'cuz it was what is best for her. I just have to warn youu, if youu get too cozy with her her father will make a few phone calls, that's why I'm not here anymore. I said remembering the day I was told to leave or we would both die. I shook my head. I love her man, but she is your girl now, I won't come back.
